Bombay Sapphire Miniatures
Stored in a signature blue bottle, the gin by Bombay Sapphire is made using the earliest recorded recipe of premium quality London Dry gin. The story of Bombay Sapphire began in the year 1761 when Thomas Dakin set up the distillery in Warrington and produced the gin using a copper pot still. Unlike other gins where the botanicals were boiled in the pot, Dakin used a unique method of placing the botanicals on top of the pot for vapour infusion instead. The flavours extracted from this method made the drink stand out from the rest and was favoured by the people.
During the distillation process, the spirit vapour passes up through a basket at the top of the column and is delicately infused with the aromatic flavours of the botanicals. The gin is then blended with water from Lake Vyrnwy. This unique style of gin creation is responsible for imparting a rich floral taste. A gin so good, it can be enjoyed neat, over ice or mixed in a classic Gin and Tonic.
